This is an essential, hands-on role where you will use technology to select the high-quality products that stock the kitchens of the city’s best restaurants. Your Mission: Precision Picking for NYC’s Top Restaurants. As an Order Picker, you are the engine of our warehouse. Your primary goal is to accurately and efficiently assemble customer orders while adhering to the highest standards of food safety. Your responsibilities will include:
- Following detailed instructions from an RF computer scanner to pick the correct items and quantities for each order.
- Building stable and well-cubed pallets of product, ensuring safe transport and preventing damage.
- Operating an electric or manual pump jack safely and efficiently to move pallets to the correct loading bay.
- Meeting or exceeding performance standards, such as an average of 100 packages picked per hour by your 90th day.
- Adhering to all food safety (HACCP, SQF) and workplace safety regulations.
The Profile of a Top Performer. This is a physically active role that requires speed, accuracy, and a commitment to safety. The core requirements include:
- The ability to work for 8+ hours in a cold environment (refrigerated and freezer temperatures).
- The physical strength to consistently lift 60 lbs.
